Yaralla’s record $26,000 at Artesian

Our record breaking $26,000, Yaralla 33/5 (D) with Ken and Kerry McKenzie, Yaralla Stud, Blackwater (left) with Trent McKinlay, Landmark Stud Stock Rockhampton. Our 23-month-old herd bull, which is eligible for registration was purchased by Will and Ingrid Haviland, Sugerland Stud, Eungella.

Our 22 bulls at the annual Artesian Sale, Blackall in October averaged $8023 and topped at a record breaking $26,000. The new record holder is the 23-month, 830kg, 136EMA Yaralla 33/5, a herd bull son of Yaralla Munckton (pictured). This impressive youngster sold to Will and Ingrid Haviland, Sugerland Stud, Eungella. Included in our Artesian result was a $15,000 sale for Yaralla Reece (P) (23-months) (690kg) selling to Lach and Kate McMaster, Elkay 2 Stud, Bungunya.

At the same time we took the opportunity to invest in new sire material in the form of the $16,000, 24-month-old, Medway Wareo (P) (24-months) (780kg) (132EMA) from Hastings and Sandra Donaldson’s, Medway Stud, Bogantungan. Other buyers included Sally Campbell, Blackall; Dick Crigg, Isisford; Ian and Bonnie Donaldson, Alpha; Warren Dyer, Tambo; Glover family, Tambo; Andy Hayes, Alice Springs; Butch and Hazel Howard, Jericho; Jason Howard, Jericho; Locarno Stud, Dingo; Ian and Sandra Muir, Winton; Alex Sparrow, Alpha and Allan Stevensen, Springsure.
